Nothing like a factory tour to put things into perspective. In the clothing business, I believe it's vital to see the whole process to better understand your place in the whole thing. As a designer, it becomes more and more important to realize the capabilities of your vendors and the best way to get what you want at the end of the day. It is always an eye-opening experience to see how many steps are involved in making our product. Here are some shots from our most recent tour of a massive facility about 40 minutes outside of downtown Ningbo.
