A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME

Having an annual pass to Disneyland rules! Being able to cruise the park snapping some photos, while enjoying a massive corn dog and going on a couple rides without worrying about making a full day of it is pure genius. This past week I indulged my inner child by hitting the park twice for "Halloween Time" Disneyland style. Here are some of my favorite shots of the classic American landmark.

MAS

More time at the ol' Salsa Factory. With a couple of art shows on the horizon, Rando is hard at work. I stopped in and hung out for a bit last week and he was kind enough to let me catch a glimpse of the process. As Dejah read her book and wrangled the dogs, I followed Randy around while he contemplated his next move. Like any true artist, he is easily distracted. This time we stumbled into his music studio to hear some stuff he has been working on in his spare time. Check out the clean set up and other random pic's below...

SNEAK PEEK

You never know what lies behind the doors of unsuspecting industrial studio buildings until you take a peek. I've been making regular stops on my way home from work to catch up with my good friend and favorite artist Randy Noborikawa at his local Costa Mesa studio to see what he has been up to. As per usual, I call Randy on my way home (I'm lucky he actually picks up his phone) and ask if he would like to take a break from his work to grab a bite. Has I pull up to the studio I feel privileged to be in the know. Look at this drab industrial complex. If people only knew the talent that lay beyond this door! As I open the door I walk into a solo jam session, oh yeah, did I mention Randy is an amazing musician too? After a great meal across the street at the Pho Company, we came back to the studio where he showed me some of the goods for a couple of upcoming shows. Next level for sure, but from this kid I expect nothing less.

LEFT OVERS

So, usually this means I bust out a full four course meal that Angela made the night before in the mini kitchen at work while other people are heating up their TV dinners and what not. This time it just means I have some cool photo's left over from my China trip that I wanted to share and they are pretty random. My OCD has something against me posting an unstructured set of pictures, but it's time to break free. Here are my left over gems from the trip. Enjoy...
